Nominations open for CCMA board of directors

ballot box graphicElections for positions on the 12-member California College Media Association board will take place online May 12-14. This is the group that plans and presents the annual CCMA better college newspaper contest and banquet and provides information and support for California college media advisers and student journalists. We pretty much share the work of running the organization and meet by phone roughly once a month during the academic year. Board terms are one year, and members can seek re-election.
If you are interested in adding your talent and ideas to the group as a board member or officer, please reply to this email with your:
School or media company affiliation
A two- or three-sentence bio
Please also indicate your interest in one of the following roles:
At-large board member, President, VP for Membership, VP Training and Conference, VP for Contests, Treasurer, Secretary, Student Representative (northern California), Student Representative (southern California), professional media representative.
Nominations will close May 10 at midnight. We will post information about nominees on the CCMA website ( the next day and provide a link to the page and the online ballot. Each California college or university is entitled to one vote in the election.
