Excellence in College Media Competition
Each year the California College Media Association holds a competition to honor excellence in student journalism at junior college and university publications. The competition draws more than 150 participants from both large and small schools across the state and is free for member publications.
Entries for the 2010 competition closed in December. Competition divisions are: daily, weekly and non-weekly newspapers, online publications, magazines and advertising. CCMA’s competition offers individual categories within each division. New categories for 2009 include: best social media, best online ad and best online editorial. Winners are announced at an awards banquet that typically takes place in the spring. For information on the 2010 awards, banquet, click here.
